It’s been a tumultuous time in kwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where we, at the Church Land Programme, are based! Perhaps the time will come to write something more directly about what has happened but for now, the demands of our context require that we continue to think about being as well as we can be in our here and now. This time around we get out the crayons and paper to explore the place of art (in its many forms) that speak to, and about, how well we are, and how well we could be. Like most of the postings in this “being…, here…, now…” padkos-series, there’s a short note from the padkos team that outlines some of the basic ideas behind the theme and that also briefly introduces the other readings that we’re sharing.
